Outdoor Leisure Map OL26, - North York Moors (Western Area)

This is a very straightforward walk with no significant gradients and there is little need fo even to follow a map.
The walk principally uses the Guisborough Forest walkway, starting from the Guisborough Forest walkway Visitor centre at Pinchinthorpe. The walk leaves the walkway to head into the centre of Guisborough and the Church of St. Nicholas.

A map of the route followed has been plotted on the Ordnance Survey mapping website, By selecting the ink below you will be taken to this map, - complete with distances and heights marked on the route.

Start from the Guisborough Forest and Walkway Visitor Centre at Pinchinthorpe (NZ58414 15265).
Follow the track Eastwards towards Home Farm and Hutton Village.
When you reach the minor road, turn left and after about 400 yards take the signposted footpath on your right.
When you reach the road, turn right and almost immediately find the old railway station platforms of Hutton Gate Station.
Now follow the old railway trackbed for the next mile or so, until you come to the bridge over the road (Belmangate).
There are steps down from the bridge to the road.
Follow the road Northwards and cross the main road at the cotrolled crossing.
Now head up Bow Street to the town centre, and St. Nicholas' Church on your right.
Return the way you came in.
